WE LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS! Currently the museum has nearly thirty regular volunteers who offer their time and expertise in a wide variety of areas. We recognize that without their commitment, many of the excellent programs and events that we offer would not be possible!
Are you looking for a way to gain valuable experience in the museum sector and in archival work? Do you have some spare time you are looking to fill? Learn and practice new skills, make new friends, build your resume and face new challenges as a volunteer at the White Rock Museum & Archives.
Our Volunteer Program is set up to involve our community in the maintenance and care of their own heritage and history. We want to provide opportunities for volunteers to obtain personal growth, learn new skills and develop a sense of commitment and belonging. We ensure that all volunteers receive the orientation, training and supervision necessary to prepare them for the area of work in which they will be involved.
Whether you want to work quietly behind the scenes researching artifacts and photographs; or you want to be in the public eye, helping customers in the Museum Shop or being a volunteer teacher with our school programs, there is a place for you at the White Rock Museum & Archives:
